The box is actually very fast. The issue with Google Play was corrected once I accepted to receive updates and promotions from them, something I didn't actually want, but oh well. The box comes wiith the Netflix App, but when I searched Netflix on Google Play to update it, the app doesn't show up. The Netflix App on the box works great though.
Just don't uninstall the app because you would have to reset your box to get it back. The remote control seems to be simple and easy to use, and you can also purchase a mini android keyboard/mouse and it helps with the functionality. I would definitely recommend this product! Some double the price of this one and with twice the processor power and twoce the onboard ram. However the Mi Box out performs them all. Speed and quality of video and audio is the best of all the boxes I have tried. (I have not tried the nvidia shield) I love the remote on this one and it has voice search for You Tube. This one does not come with KODI preinstalled but you can get it from the Google Play Store.
There are tons of free apps and of course plenty of Pay Apps available as well. Operational Quality is at least as good as Roku and better than most Android Boxes. The remote works great now, and the box is a great addition to our house. The seller was honest, nice, and kind. I definitely recommend buying from them for the great customer service! The box and keyboard it came with were nice. The Android software was intuitive and easy to understand.
However, the remote did not work 50% of the time so I had to return the entire package. This was very frustrating because I spent $50 on this box only to find out it was defective. I cannot use a TV box with a remote that did not work half of the time! 'TUNE OUT THE WORLD, FOR $70' Noise cancelling that works at a very reasonable price! Give BOSE credit for a great idea but the 'concept' is well out of the barn!
