Download it here. Dear Sir, My phone is a nokia asha 308. Love this phone for the size and the simple features that fulfils my needs for a work phone. Now, my problem with this update is because there is a preloade notifications app that i think it's suppose to take the push messages in one place but it's not working right.

If you own a Nokia phone and want to flash firmware on it to unbrick or fix hang an issue then you can download latest Firmware for it.

Before the update my os version is 5.85 and the notifications app was installed automatically after i downloaded whatsapp but, looks like the notifications app blocks whatsapp connecting to its server and causing the messages was not delivered unless i open whatsapp. When i deleted the notifications app, whatsapp can connect to its server without problem. I hope you guys from nokia can resolve this probably by making the notifications app not a system file so it can be removed. I'm stuck with this update because i can not downgrade it and i hate it.makes my whatsapp app useless and i actually use it a lot. My temporary solution till now is only leaves whatapp open so i can receives the messages in instant. Hey, Though i am not familiar with asha 308,AFAIK there no such kind of issue in my asha 311.Because there is notification app as well as whatsapp the asha 311 firmware.These both works perfectly for me and i think there is no link in between these both.whatsapp works perfectly though there is notifications app. By the way NOTIFICATIONS app works with few applications like 1.Hike 2.Facebook for every phone(latest version) 3.CNN app. Tiljda zimnij angel vikrojku.

Try these and check whether notification app is working or not.:smileyhappy. Hi Satyam, Does your whatsapp gives you notification even though it's being hidden? Mine was giving a pop-up notification everytime it's received a message when i hide it. Notifications app once put some of the old messages into its notification list but when i tried to open it from inside the notification app, it says 'failed to open'. And whatsapp didn't give me any popup notification.

That's when i removed the notifications app from the 5.85 and from that moment on whatsapp always gave me the popup. Hope that i can remove the notifications app because it's useless for me and ebuddy, never use it.

Find the update instructions from here: Key changes compared to previous 7.55 SW version include: • Improvements for video streaming. • Launchers for Mail For Exchange, Whatsapp, eBuddy and Youtube added. • Updated versions of Nokia Xpress Browser, Nokia Store, Notifications and News and Offers applications. • Updated versions of Email & Chat applications. Available via Nokia Suite.

• Updated versions of Twitter and Facebook. Available via Nokia Suite. • 10 new Gameloft games. Available via Nokia Suite. The updated Twitter, Facebook and eBuddy versions are expected to become available also to Nokia Store later.

If you plan to update the phone using Nokia Suite, make sure you install the latest Nokia Suite 3.8 client version first. You can get it from here: Note: if you update your Asha 308 to 8.13 SW version with Nokia Suite, you will get a new Email application that does not support Push Email Notifications and Email Scheduling. FOTA update on the other hand would keep the old Email application. If Push Email Notification and Email Polling are important features for you it is recommend to update the phone SW via FOTA. If Push Email Notification and Email Scheduling are not important features for you, the phone SW update can safely be installed using Nokia Suite. With this new version of the Email application you can get Self-Updates when Nokia releases a newer version. I'm using the asha 309, but I think that it has the same interface.
