The first season premiered on 1 November 2015 and ended on 5 June 2016, after airing 62 episodes. It starred,,. Season 1 of Naagin became one of the highest rated shows on Indian television at that time, and it was replaced by the show. The second season of Naagin premiered on 8 October 2016 and ended on 25 June 2017, after airing 75 episodes; and was replaced by the series. This season starred,, and (with the latter two reprising their respective characters from Season 1), and also featured and in prominent supporting roles.

The third season premiered on 2 June 2018. It features,, and in lead roles, with in a guest appearance. This season earned a 4.9 rating and overall sixteen million impressions in its launch week. Prince Ritik Singh of Suryavanshi dynasty of Panchner Sangram Singh's son and the sole inheritor of the Suryavanshi dynasty (bestowed upon with the responsibility to protect the Naagmani alongside the guardian serpents), Ritik was adopted by his paternal aunt Yamini after she tried to kill his father (causing him to go into a hiding), only to use Ritik as a pawn to acquire the mystical and rare Naagmani. Later, Ritik married Shivanya and with her help, got to know Yamini's true malicious intentions and his real parentage.

Then she stood by her in her quest to avenge her parents' murders alongside protecting the Naagmani. He became Shivangi's father, and was soon supposedly killed, as per Yamini's orders, by some greedy people (Mahendra, Manjusha and Ranveer) aspiring for the Naagmani. He, however, made a special appearance in the final episode of Season 2, where he was implied to have traveled forward in time, prompting his son-in-law Rocky to stab her daughter Shivangi with a trident, thus causing her death for some inexplicable benefit. Bijlani also played Ritik's father, Sangram Singh of Sooryavanshi dynasty, formerly the King of Panchner. He was Yamini's elder half-brother who was attempted to be murdered by Yamini for satisfying her own vengeance and ill intentions to achieve the supreme power of the Naagmani, causing him to go into a hiding, only to be rescued by Shivanya. Initially Shesha assisted Shivanya in her revenge mission against her parents' culprits, but later on seeds of greed for power, position and money (that can be obtained by usurping the Naagmani) were inculcated in her mind by Yamini. This combined with her lust for Ritik led her to betray her cousin Shivanya and she joined hands with Yamini, and emerged as Shivanya's and later on, Shivangi's ultimate nemesis. By the end of Season 1, Shivanya managed to get rid of Shesha by trapping her in the kingdom of the Mahishmatis, shape-shifting honeybees belonging to the Chandravanshi clan or Lunar dynasty. Later, their queen, Avantika joined hands with Shesha, freeing her from captivity. The two along with a resurrected Yamini became the deadly villainous trio of Season 2, where a 118-year-old Naagin Shesha took the pseudonym Ruchika and wanted to marry her new love interest Rocky alongside pursuing her dream of achieving the Naagmani and becoming the most powerful Naagin in existence. However, her plans were foiled by Shivanya's daughter Shivangi after she and Yamini viciously killed Shivanya.
